Did Priyanka Chopra Get a Nose job?

It is rumored that...Priyanka Chopra underwent a nose job during a three-day-long London trip. Priyanka says, "Which nose job can you get in three days, I really want to know.", Being a doctor's daughter, she should know. According to sources, it was apparently a well known fact that Priyanka had always been unhappy with the way her nose looked. Besides her alleged nose-job, rumors about her perfect lips have also started doing the rounds. Priyanka claims that it is the mere effect of makeup and nothing else.

True or False...Comparing her pictures from the Miss World Pageant and her recent pictures (see image), many seemed to believe that Priyanka's nose had been surgically worked upon. The difference in skin tone between her nose and the rest of her face was caught red-handed by camera's during walk on Salman's Being Human ramp (see attached video). If you look closely at the associated image, you will see that her sharp nose, has later been rounded. Even though it is no shame to go under the knife for a perfect face, Priyanka has rubbished all rumors of a nose job.

Our Verdict:  True- Its a fact that make up can improvise looks, but it cannot restructure the face. You can decide for yourself by juxtaposing Priyanka's old and recent pictures. A picture speaks a thousand words. But then again, who nose?

Ayesha Takia’s husband keeps a close watch on her wardrobe

A pair of baggy denims and a printed blouse under a full sleeved jacket work well for Mumbai restaurateur and actress Ayesha Takia’s husband Farhan Azmi’s peace of mind.
Azmi, who comes from an affluent, conservative Muslim family with strong political leanings (his father Abu Azmi is state president of the Samajwadi Party), is said to have kept a keen watch on his wife’s wardrobe in Mod, her forthcoming release with which she returns to Hindi cinema after a two year post- marriage sabbatical.
According to close sources, Azmi is particularly conscious of Takia’s public image and has been monitoring her return to cinema.
“Ayesha’s husband has been cautious about her return to movies. He comes from a conservative background, and is said to have advised her to take up roles that allow her to maintain her image without compromising his father’s political career in any way, ” says a source.
Revealing outfits and short dresses are out for Takia. In fact, the reason why Takia’s return to films was easy was because Mod is a Nagesh Kukunoor production, and the director-producer is said to be close to the couple since Takia considers him her rakhi brother.
“Ayesha ties a rakhi to Nagesh every year. He has also cast her in her best work to date, Dor. So, when the offer for Mod came along, Farhan was comfortable with the idea, ” says the source.

Vidya Balan takes a ‘Dirty’ fall

Bollywood Actress Vidya Balan, who was admitted to Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital on Friday, has been advised complete rest after being released, according to reports coming in on Tuesday. She has lately been maintaining a tight schedule over her ambitious upcoming film, ‘The Dirty Picture’. According to the latest reports, Vidya’s parents took her for a check- up because she had been complaining of dizziness and fatigue for quite a while. A series of tests were conducted, which revealed her haemoglobin count was below the acceptable level. The doctors advised her to check into a hospital and she was immediately put on drip.”
Industry insiders say Vidya has been excessively involved ‘The Dirty Picture’, scheduled for release on December 2. She has had to travel in and out of Mumbai over the past couple of months, as most of the shooting of film has taken place in Hyderabad. “The role in the film is her dream role and she is going all out to ensure she gives her best. She has almost been working non- stop over the past few weeks and this seems to have taken its toll,” a source said, about Vidya’s involvement with the film, that sees her portray the tragic life of eighties sex symbol Silk Smitha.

Reports coming in suggest Vidya was kept under observation at the Lilavati hospital for most of the weekend. “She was discharged early this week but the medical advice to her is complete rest for at least seven days,” the source said. A seven- day rest could throw the last stint of shooting for The Dirty Picture into disarray. Plus, she has another film, Sujoy Ghosh’s ‘Kahaani’ , coming up in January, which could also be affected. Although shooting of about a week remains for ‘The Dirty Picture’ , after which post-production follows, producer Ekta Kapoor and director Milan Luthria are confident the film will be ready on time for its December release. Beyond the health problem, the 33- year- old actress has otherwise been enjoying a great stint in her career lately.

As per sources, Priyanka had a hectic day; she was busy promoting 7 Khoon Maaf and also had to join the Don 2 cast and crew for the shooting of the film. Shahrukh Khan was waiting for her on the sets. But in the meantime she ate something that upset her stomach, a probable case of food poisoning.

Happy marriage life Sameer Soni and Neelam

Happy marriage life Sameer Soni and Neelam: Sameer Soni wed Neelam yesterday in a simple and quiet ceremony. The couple who made their relationship official last year, will have a grand reception on January 26 with several A-listers invited to the party.
However, some of their close friends from B-Town were also spotted at the wedding and one was TV czarina Ekta Kapoor, who is a very good friend of the bride. Also seen was Jitendra who turned out to bless the couple.

Last year, Sameer went public and declared his love for Neelam at his birthday party in Juhu. He proclaimed that he loved her but was unable to define their relationship. It was an awkward situation for Neelam as she seemed unprepared for such a situation. But as love surely finds its way, the duo became committed to each other and the rest is a fairy tale.

While talking about their post marriage plans, Neelam was quoted as saying, “Yes, I am very happy. We plan to start a family immediately. We want lots of kids.”

Neelam was earlier married to London-based industrialist Rishi Sethia while Samir was previously married to model Rajlaxmi Khanvilkar, who later got hitched to actor Rahul Roy.

Child within every man that's why 'Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji'

Child within every man that's why 'Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji': They say men never grow up and filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar is exploring this pyche of men in a humorous way through his new romantic comedy 'Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji' releasing Friday.

Starring Ajay Devgan, Emraan Hashmi and Omi Vaidya, 'Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji' is the slice of life movie that talks about three men and their encounters with love. Shazahn Padmasee, Shruti Haasan and debutante Shraddha Das will play their love interests respectively.

Naren Ahuja (Ajay) is in his thirties and is going through divorce. While nursing his broken heart following a failed marriage, Naren meets vibrant and bubbly June Pinto (Shazahn) and can't stop himself from falling in love with this young girl.

Milind Kelkar (Omi) is a naive poet and idealistic lover. He develops a liking for an ambitious and practical Gunjan Sarkar (Shraddha) who is determined to follow her dreams.

But Abhay (Emraan), a charming casanova, is different. His mantra in life is money and women. But his life too takes a turn after an encounter with Nikki (Shruti), a modern girl who knows her needs and speaks her mind. He too experiences love, an emotion he had always stayed away from.

According to director Bhandarkar, the film is a funny take on love, with real-life relatable characters, and shows to what extent people would go to achieve it or avoid it.

Bhandarkar is known for making hard-hitting and realistic films like 'Chandni Bar', 'Fashion' and 'Jail' which garnered critical acclaim as well as box office success.

'Chandni Bar', starring Tabu and Atul Kulkarni, depicted hardships of women working in dance bars, while 'Fashion' explored the glamorous but dark world of modelling. The film starred Priyanka Chopra in the lead.

His last outing 'Jail' put the spotlight on cruel realities faced by prisoners in jail. Although the film didn't do well at the box-office, it was indeed applauded by critics.

With 'Dil Toh Bachcha Hai Ji', Bhandarkar attempts to move away from serious cinema and take the audience on a laughter ride. However, the filmmaker is adamant that his stamp and signature style will be evident in the film.

Just like his director, Emraan, known for playing edgy roles in 'Murder', 'Gangster - A Love Story' and 'Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai', is trying comedy for the first time.

Omi has expectations riding high because this is his second release after blockbuster '3 Idiots' and the actor admits this has been a challenging role for him as he plays a Maharashtrian and he had to ensure that his accent is perfect.

Last year brought a mixed response for Ajay's films. While 'Golmaal 3' and 'Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai' and 'Raajneeti' were hits, his home production 'Toonpur Ka Superhero' and 'Aakrosh' failed to impress the audiences.

Ajay hopes to start the new year on a good note with 'Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji', which is the solo release this week.

Veena Malik: Nothing immoral in Big Boss House

Veena Malik: Nothing immoral in Big Boss House: Pakistani actress Veena Malik, who was an inmate in season four of Indian TV reality show “Big Boss”, has said there was nothing immoral about her relationship with Bollywood actor Ashmit Patel or any other member of the house.”All criticism of my action is baseless, because it is being hurled without knowing the facts,” Veena said in an interview with the Express TV Friday night.

“I belong to the entertainment industry and have not done anything that I have not done before,” she said.

The actress said she was not representing Pakistan on the show but only the entertainment industry.

“I know my limits. I did not wear any revealing clothes or kissed Ashmit or any co-star in the show,” she said. “I was there to promote love and a spirit of friendship and have no regrets in doing so.”

Responding to a question about her physical intimacy with Ashmit Patel during the show, Veena denied having any such contact.

“I was as close to Ashmit as any other inmate of the house,” she said.

“I performed namaz in the Big Boss house and even Ashmit prayed with me,” she revealed, and also produced a video to prove her point.

Meanwhile, Ashmit Patel, speaking on the phone from Mumbai during the interview, said that he had prayed because he found the movements in namaz “very much like yoga”.

“I don’t believe in religion as such but have respect for all religions and keep collecting information about them,” he said, adding that he found peace in performing namaz.

An Islamic cleric, Mufti Abdul Baqi, who also participated in the interview, said: “Veena had shamed all Pakistanis and Muslims with her immoral acts during the show.”

“I want to tell her that she has not done justice to her talents by doing something which she can’t watch while sitting with her brother or son in future,” he said, asking her to mend her ways.

Veena burst into tears during the interview and said she confronted hostility from other participants like Shweta and Manoj, but the media never supported her.

“It is to my credit that I spent 84 days in the house against all odds,” she argued.

Interview host Kamran Shahid concluded the show by saying that most of the Pakistani people think Veena should not have committed such acts, particularly because of the high sensitivity towards the neighbouring country.

Veena Malik had earlier courted controversy because of her alleged relationship with embattled fast bowler Mohammad Asif.

Ruskin Bond expanded his story for Priyanka's ‘Saat Khoon Maaf’

Ruskin Bond expanded his story for Priyanka's ‘Saat Khoon Maaf’: Ruskin Bond, the grand old ’sahib’ from Landour in Mussourie, has been bitten by the tinsel bug. The novelist will make his maiden foray on the big screen with a cameo in Vishal Bhardwaj’s forthcoming ‘Saat Khoon Maaf’, based on his short story ‘Susannah’s Seven Husbands’.

‘I am in the movie. I have told Vishal that I have got a movie part. Don’t you dare cut me out,’ Bond told IANS at the ongoing DSC Jaipur Literature Festival.

This is not Bond’s first movie with filmmaker Bhardwaj. ‘I had earlier collaborated with him in the ‘Blue Umbrella’ which was also based on my story. The story was recommended to Vishal by his wife. I could not work with Bhardwaj on that movie,’ the 76-year-old author said.

Bond has been actively involved in scripting ‘Saat Khoon Maaf’, which stars Priyanka Chopra, unlike a previous screen adaptation of his short story ‘The Flight of Pigeons’ in ‘Junoon’, where he ‘did not even meet the director’.

‘Susannah… was originally a short story comprising a few odd pages. When Vishal decided to turn it into a movie, I expanded the story into an 80-page novella and then began to think in terms of scenes. It became an actual script – a 200-page full-length Hindi script,’ Bond said.

Bond appears in the movie with Priyanka Chopra, who kills ‘each of her seven husbands’.

‘I had to devise regional (Indian) ways of killing the husbands,’ Bond said.

The author believes that movies do justice to literature.

‘I was a great movie-goer as a boy. I had watched some great movies adapted from Charles Dickens’ classics like ‘David Copperfield’, ‘Great Expectations’, ‘Oliver Twist’ and ‘Christmas Carol’. His classics lend themselves to brilliant visual adaptations on screen. Stories by writers like Somerset Maugham and Daphne du Maurier were also made into movies,’ Bond said.

‘My own writing has been influenced by the fact that I went to see the movies and I always thought in terms of visuals,’ he said.

Bond said his ‘fondness for short story as a preferred writing format dates back to his early youth’. ‘One of the reasons why I like writing stories is because when I started writing I had to make a living out of it. Novels could take up to a year,’ he said.

Bond said the sense of perpetual wonder that marked his stories was because he didn’t grow up.

The novelist, who believes in the importance of the oral tradition of story-telling feels that laptops have changed the way children look at stories. ‘They read great stories on the internet. Fantasy has a great appeal today and technology has made inroads into stories,’ he said.

According to Bond, whose books are also steeped in fantasy, ‘the Harry Potter novels had been brilliantly executed and highly successful’.

‘Potter has proved children’s books can outsell adult books and become bestsellers,’ he said.

Born in 1934, the iconic writer of British origin was honoured with the Padma Shri in 1999 for his contribution to children’s literature. He is famous for novellas and short stories like the ‘Room on the Roof’, ‘Night Train at Deoli’, ‘Time Stops at Shamli’, ‘Our Trees Still Grow in Dehra’, and ‘Flight of the Pigeons’.

But what is the master storyteller’s favourite story? Pat comes his reply: ‘Often at night, I am restless and my blanket slips off. An unseen benign hand puts the blanket back on me. It is a very motherly ghost.’

This is a ghost story that Ruskin Bond has never got around to writing. It is his friendly guardian spirit.

Hard Kaur turns in a de-glam avatar for Akshay's 'Patiala House'

Hard Kaur turns in a de-glam avatar for Akshay's 'Patiala House': Don't be surprised if you notice a deglam Hard Kaur in Akshay Kumar starrer "Patiala House". The female rapper is trying to make a mark with her Bollywood debut.

Real name Taran Kaur Dhillon, the hip hop singer has given up on her oomph and funky avatar to play a desi Punjabi girl Komal in the movie.

"Patiala House is going to surprise everyone with Hard Kaur now as an actor, playing the role of Komal. Her fans will enjoy her fresh role and her new avatar as a Punjabi kudi," producer Bhushan Kumar said in a statement.

Said a source: "She plays the role of a Punjabi girl who wears only Indian dresses which is quite the opposite of her in real life."

Deepika Padukone not interested to play in Shahid's 'Heer Ranjha'?

Deepika Padukone not interested to play in Shahid's 'Heer Ranjha'?: Producer Sajid Nadiadwala’s Heer Ranjha is unlikely to go on floors. As things stand today, the Shahid Kapoor and Deepika Padukone starrer is almost shelved.

Sabir Khan, who was supposed to direct Heer Ranjha is still working with Nadiadwala but on a different film, which will most probabbly have Shahid playing the lead but Deepika is not a part of this.

Rumour has it that Deepika was not too keen on acting in Heer Ranjha. Shall we assume she is not as friendly with Shahid as she was a few months ago?

A friend of Nadiadwala’s stood up for him and said, “Deepika was never in the project. Sajid is still doing Sabir’s film; he is reworking its script.”

In that case, why did Sabir tell a section of the media about Deepika being paired with Shahid in his film? Reportedly, Sabir had said, “I don’t think it really makes a difference if the leading lady is taller than the hero... any heroine, no matter how tall she is, is keen to work with Aamir Khan. Dippy (as Deepika is fondly called) has agreed to do the film. I think Shahid and she make a great pair. They’ve never been paired before.”

A source very close to the film confirmed and said, “Heer Ranjha is not happening, at least not with Shahid and Deepika together. Right now, Sabir is writing something new.”

Shahrukh Khan will returne into the IIFA Awards 2011?

Shahrukh Khan will returne into the IIFA Awards 2011?: It was a legendary drop-out or opt-out whichever one you prefer to go with, the Bachchan - IIFA disassociation came as a startling surprise for Bollywood Crazies.

Following this unfortunate development, AB Baby and Mrs while at the unveiling of Stardust's latest issue featuring them retorted to journo inquiries on the matter with Abhishek jointly saying on behalf of the couple, "If I am free, I will think about it, but my primary focus is movies."

After all the B buzz, it's now appears the spotlight is shifting from the B's to the K's - the Khans that is.

There's strong buzz gathering that after a long absence from the International Indian Academy Awards (IIFA), Shah Rukh Khan may return to the IIFA awards weekend this year not just as a star attendee but a potential host.

Rumours are also rife that Salman Khan, who played a imminently visible role at last year's awards in Colombo Sri Lanka is possibly coming to town as well.

They may not see eye to eye, but Toronto's undoubtedly eying a potential Khan reunion!

Agneepath Remake: Hrithik-Priyanka to play most intense passion!

Agneepath Remake: Hrithik-Priyanka to play most intense passion!: Karan Johar promises passion play like never before between Hrithik Roshan and Priyanka Chopra in his upcoming remake of Agneepath, which he will produce.

The movie will have Hrithik reprising the role of the angry man immortalized by Amitabh Bachchan in the original film by Mukul Anand. Priyanka, however, will not play a nurse, Big B’s love interest in the original played by Madhavi. There have been rumours that Priyanka’s character has been changed from a nurse to a prostitute, but Karan Johar denies it.

What he confirms emphatically is that there’s going to be a smouldering chemistry between Hrithik and Priyanka in the film.

“The new 'Agneepath' is first and foremost an intense love story. There was love between Priyanka and Hrithik in 'Krissh'. But here we want an unparalleled intensity between them. You've never seen Priyanka and Hrithik get so intense with anyone before,” Karan Johar is quoted as saying by a news agency.

The original film, made in 1990, was produced by Karan’s dad Yash Johar.

Aamir Khan very sad for Peepli Live out from the Oscars Race

Aamir Khan very sad for Peepli Live out from the Oscars Race: Bollywood actor Aamir Khan Thursday said he is disappointed at “Peepli Live” failing to get selected at the Oscars but is happy that his film represented India.

"I came to know that ‘Peepli Live’ is out of Oscars. I am of course sad about it. But, I am happy that we represented India and we were one among the world’s best 60 films which were sent to Oscars. We are disappointed and sad," Aamir told reporters at a press conference at the Sun and Sand hotel here.

The actor maintained that he doesn’t make films for the Oscars.

“I don’t make them for Oscars, neither for any other awards. I make films for the audience. I value whatever response I get from the audience, critics and media. Oscars, Cannes, Berlin Festival - they are like platforms where international audience come to know about our films. If you win there, more people watch them,” said Aamir.

Shahid Kapoor reject an offer to do Priyanka Chopra's '7 Khoon Maaf'

Shahid Kapoor reject an offer to do Priyanka Chopra's '7 Khoon Maaf': When Priyanka Chopra has seven co-stars in her forthcoming film “7 Khoon Maaf”, the question arises why isn’t Shahid Kapoor, who shares an amazing onscreen chemistry with her and is reportedly her offscreen love, one of them? Well because he refused, revealed filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj.

"Shahid refused to do the film. That time he was preparing for the role in his father’s film and for that he needed a particular get up, so he didn’t have time to get a new get up for this film,” Bhardwaj told reporters at an event in the Radio City office here.

“7 Khoon Maaf” is based on Ruskin Bond’s short story, “Susanna’s Seven Husbands”. The seven male leads in the thriller include Naseeruddin Shah as the oldest husband, John Abraham and Neil Nitin Mukesh, Irrfan Khan, Annu Kapoor, Naseeruddin Shah’s youngest son Vivaan Shah as the youngest husband and Russian actor Aleksandr Dyachenko.

The director also revealed that Priyanka was his original choice for the role.

“Priyanka was my original choice for the role. She is the finest actor of her generation right now. Whe I worked with her in 'Kaminey’, I realised how under-utilised she is. She has so much talent in her. As a director I had so much trust on her that I felt that no one else can essay this role as brilliantly as she would do,” said Bhardwaj.

The film is slated for a Feb 18 release.
